The CRA’s Guide to Monitoring Clinical Research, Third Edition
by Karen E. Woodin
If you would like to become a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and have time to read only 1 book, this is the book I would recommend. I read the previous edition of this book before I became a CRA. I was a study coordinator at a site and wanted to learn as much as I could about being a CRA. This book goes over the ins and outs of a CRA career and all that involved. It goes over industry overview, regulations, CRA career description, clinical trial design, protocol, informed consent, CRF, and other topics. Even if you are already a CRA, this book may help you as well in your daily work.
The CRC’s Guide to Coordinating Clinical Research, Second Edition
by Karen E. Woodin
This is from the same author above, but the focus is on clinical research coordination. This book is for a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) who works at a clinical trial site or someone who would like to pursue this position or career path.
